Cal Expo is pleased to invite the community to celebrate July 4th at Cal Expo at the Miller Lite Racetrack Grandstand. Bring the family, enjoy live music, have a picnic, and see the best fireworks show in the city.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and the event ends at 10:00 p.m.
Live entertainment begins at 6:00 p.m.
Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Please enter through Blue Gate at Challenge Way and Exposition Blvd.

  • 9:30 p.m. – Fireworks Show by Pyro Engineering

Parking: $15/car


Fireworks, cans, glass bottles, alcoholic beverages, weapons and all animals (except service animals) are prohibited. This will be strictly enforced throughout the Fairgrounds and in the parking lot area.
Bags and ice chests will be searched at the gate.
Metal detectors will be in place as guests enter the fairgrounds. Please give yourself extra time to get through security.
Food vendors will be on-site with food to purchase.
Road closures will be in effect from 9:30 – 11 p.m.
  • Business 80 – Eastbound and westbound Exposition Blvd. off-ramps
  • Business 80 – Northbound and southbound Arden Way off-ramps
  • Eastbound Highway 160 exit to eastbound Arden Way
Heavy vehicle traffic is expected, so please arrive early. The Cal Expo Police Department would also like to remind the public that it is a violation of the vehicle code to stop on the freeway, or any surface street to watch the fireworks.
