Are you a student between the ages of 12-18 living in Sacramento County? Design a poster highlighting the urgency for no place for hate with emphasis on what would your community, neighborhood, or school look like with no bullies, no cyberbullies, no fights, or no violence. You can win a cash prize for the best posters based on an illustration of kindness, safety, and love.

The prizes are as follows:

  • First Place: $300
  • Second Place: $200
  • Third Place: $100

How Do I Enter?

  1. Create a poster (size 11×17) with a theme related to for example: No Place for Hate in Our Community, HUGS not Hate, Stop The Bullying, It’s Okay to be Kind
  2. Scan or take a picture of your poster if it’s a hard copy, or save it digitally if it’s already online.
  3. Fill out and sign the Entry/Release Form (found in the “Contest Materials” section below). All entries must include a poster and your entry form.
  4. Upload your poster and Entry/Release Form by March 8, 2024 at: https://bit.ly/enter-hugs-not-hate-poster-contest

Winners will be notified on or before March 18, 2024. All posters will be featured on the Sacculturalhub.com website and the Sac Hub Facebook and Instagram page. Selected posters will be featured on display at the African Market Place in Spring 2024.

The HUGS not Hate Youth Poster Contest is conducted and presented by the Sac Cultural Hub Media Foundation under the auspices of the Stop The Hate campaign that has been made possible with funding from the California State Library (CSL) in partnership with the California Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander American Affairs (CAPIAA).
