COVID cases, deaths increase amid new California coronavirus surge

“San Joaquin County coronavirus cases nearly doubled over the past week, with 812 cases and four deaths reported in the week ending Sunday. A week earlier, the county had reported 450 cases and one death. Throughout the pandemic it has reported 177,538 cases and 2,229 deaths.
Calaveras County reported 27 cases and zero deaths in the latest week. A week earlier, it had reported 32 cases and one death. Throughout the pandemic it has reported 7,718 cases and 120 deaths.”
