The Sacramento Area Black Caucus (SABC) will host its annual Cheryl Ann Fisher and The Rosenwald “Robbie” Robertson Scholarship Recognition Dinner on May 4, 2013, at 6pm at Touch A’ Class Restaurant in Sacramento.
Each year, SABC awards $500 academic scholarships to local high school and college students. The scholarships are awarded in memory of Rowenwald Robertson, a community activist and City Council member, and Cheryl Ann Fisher, a founding member of the Sacramento Black Nurses Association and Black United Fund of Sacramento Valley.
This year’s keynote speaker is Margaret Fortune, CEO, Fortune School of Education.
