The Black Alumni Chapter is a chapter of the Sacramento State Alumni Association. Its purpose is to serve as an empowering vehicle for Black Alums, Faculty, Staff, Students, and the Community at Large. Historically, education has been an important key to success. The Black Alumni Chapter ( BAC ) encourages Black alumni involvement in university affairs by:
- Sharing the vision of higher education with current and future generations of Black Americans.
- Participating in activities that enhance and promote pluralism and diversity at California State University , Sacramento (CSUS).
- Developing programs of special interest to Black alumni, faculty, staff and students. Encouraging awareness of Black alumni, faculty, staff and student concerns.
- Promoting greater financial participation by Black alumni.
- Assisting in the recruitment of Black students to CSUS.
