The International Academy of Design & Technology-Sacramento (the Academy) will present an exciting seminar on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Academy’s Natomas campus location. The event will feature leaders in design careers who will discuss their work, industry opportunities and creative vision spanning fashion, graphic design and interior design. Featured speakers include Paula Desideri, Senior Associate, Lionakis; Jonathan Carabba, Advertising Director, SubMerge Magazine; Todd Buchanan, Creative Director, City Reach, and acclaimed New York-based celebrity and fashion photographer Mike Ruiz, founding partner of the elite Los Angeles photography complex Miauhaus Studios.
Mike Ruiz is best known for his high-impact, surreal brand of photography. His celebrity clientele includes Brooke Shields, Lindsay Lohan, The Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron and Salma Hayek, among scores of other actors, models and singers. His work has appeared in countless American and international magazines such as Vanity Fair, Flaunt, Conde Nast Traveler, Interview, Paper, Citizen K, Arena, Italian Elle, Spanish and Brazilian Vogue and was a contributor to Dolce and Gabbana’s “Hollywood” book and Iman’s “The Beauty of Color” beauty book.
Attendees are also invited to participate in free workshops with the featured speakers and Academy instructors. The event will open with a panel discussion, then break-out sessions will be announced.
