Recent health statistics have revealed that life threatening diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity are plaguing our communities at alarming rates. In an effort to combat these diseases PraiseWorks and The Christian Mediator presented the 2nd Annual Holy Health & Wellness Fair on April 10th from 9:30 am to 3 pm on Saturday, April 10 at the Oak Park Community Center Sacramento, which offered wellness resources to educate our communities about importance of maintaining good physical and spiritual health.

The event was very impressive with over 100 people in attendance.  It was an event that focused on bringing health, fitness and well being to the forefront of our local communities. The eventful day offered participants delicious lunch cuisine, Zumba and fitness techniques to use in the home. Key note speakers such as Dr. Jonathan Butler and Dr. Rola offered a host of information with regard to identifying and preventing bad health as well as the strategies to utilize that ensures great health.

In addition to the physical health resources, this wellness fair also offered spiritual resources. If you were seeking a new church home you could speak with ministry staff about the services their church offered as well as their missions. Vendors who participated also offered great products such as organic spa products, handmade jewelry and a plethora of vendors that offered phenomenal prices to participants. A job well done to all of those who hosted and participated in such a needed event for our community.
