While surfing the Internet, I found a VIP "Who’s Who"! Did you know that African American, Vincent L. Johnson Jr., was named chief operating officer for UC Davis Medical Center. Johnson began his new role in October of 2008. As chief operating officer for the medical center, Johnson will lead several departments, including ambulatory clinical services, a network of physician practices, professional services, supply chain management and health information management, the release states.
Vincent L. Johnson Jr. has served as vice president of administration at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla., since 2003. He has 20 years of experience as a hospital administrator, according to a UC Davis Health System news release.
