According to multiple sources, Anita Baker’s arrest warrant has been dropped.

A judge in Wayne County issued the warrant over a $15,000 lawsuit that had been filed by a painting company.

The firm’s owners stated that Baker had refused to pay them for work they did on her home.  The attorneys for the company suing Baker say that that they didn’t want her to go to jail, they just wanted her to pay up.

While the warrant’s been lifted, the Grammy winner’s legal woes aren’t over, as a hearing on the case has been scheduled for April. Let’s hope she decides to attend this time.
