Event coordinators for this year’s Juneteenth Celebration in Yolo County expect a capacity crowd on June 22 at the Davis Veterans’ Memorial Center with music featuring Bayonnes Big Bang, Calvin Handy, Al Zaid and others, along with a “Hat Extravaganza” fashion show staged by Nathale Minyaand and an arts and crafts sale.
The event, co-hosted by the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch of the Yolo County Library, in partnership with the Friends of the Davis Public Library, the City of Davis, Culture Co-op and others, will also include a children’s craft activity and an exhibit of historic photographs at the library.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, June 22 from 1-5pm at the Veterans’ Memorial Center, 14th and B Streets, in Davis.
