The Black United Fund of Sacramento Valley and The Talking Drums Newsletter will be holding its Annual MLK Day of Service on Sunday, January 27, from 2-4pm at the Office of the Black United Fund in Sacramento.

They are looking for donations of unworn winter clothing such as hats, gloves, scarves, sweatshirts, and socks. Then on January 27, volunteers will assemble packages of new, unworn winter clothing to distribute to local homeless shelters.

  • June 3 — Developing Committed Board — Board development dos and don’ts, board responsibilities and challenges, as well as benefits and rewards.

Each session is held from 6-8pm at the Black United Fund Office in Sacramento, and is limited to 8 participants in each session. RSVP is required — contact Faye at faye@springmail.com or call 916-484-3750.
