The Brickhouse Art Gallery in Sacramento will host the CD release party and closing art reception for “A Touch of Jazz and other sounds” on Sunday, April 28.

The event will include the release of the poetry/jazz CD “A Touch of Jazz and poetry” by poet, artist and playwright Charles Curtis Blackwell. Blackwell is a community organizer, author of several theater plays, poems, short stories, novels and lyrics, including the book “The Fiery Responses to Love Callings.”

“A Touch of Jazz and other sounds” is a collection of 36 photographic, figurative and abstract art works by fine artist and photographer Gerry GOS” Simpson. GOS” is known for his vibrant and powerful colors, and his love for all genres of music has played a major role in producing this assemblage of work.

The CD release party and closing art reception will take place Sunday, April 28 from 3-5pm at the Brickhouse Art Gallery, 2838 36th St., in Sacramento. The party is free and open to the public.
