Turns out, the movie that dads most want to show their children is the harrowing tale of a father who eventually cuts his son’s hand off.

In a Father’s Day promotion for FandangoNOW, the on-demand video service asked more than 1,000 fathers which “modern classic” they most want to share with their kids this summer.

The winner was, of course, Star Wars, followed by E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jurassic Park, Forrest Gump and Toy Story.

Respondents could choose movies released between 1975 to 2010 (with a PG-13, PG or G rating), but for the most part, the movies fell within 1980 and 1995.
