Sporting a metallic jacket, afro, and three-eyed sunglasses, Prince took the stage on Saturday Night Live with the power trio 3rdEyeGirl, playing a medley culled from his two new albums that included a mid-tempo funk tune, a power-riff number, a catchy roadhouse punk song and a barbed slow jam.
In an unprecedented break from 40 year SNL tradition, the performer played a single, eight minute set mid-show, rather than the customary two, single song performances.
