The Sacramento Kings are worth more this year than they were in 2013. But so are a lot of other NBA teams.
The Kings are worth $550 million, good enough for 16th in the league, according to Forbes Magazine’s annual rankings of NBA team values. With annual revenue of $115 million, the team turned a profit of $12 million the last year, the magazine reported.
The team was worth $525 million in last year’s rankings, which were revealed just days after the Maloofs had announced a deal to sell the Kings to a group in Seattle for an NBA-record amount.
Two years ago, the Kings were worth $300 million, ranking them 23rd in the league.
