On Monday, September 9, 2013, Fortune School unveiled its newest tuition-free college preparatory charter school, Alan Rowe College Prep, in Elk Grove.
The school reportedly opened with 136 students in grades Transitional Kindergarten through 3rd. With a longer school day and year, and a culture of high expectations, the school is a new campus of a high performing charter school network boasting an 807 academic performance index.
This school, like all Fortune Schools, has been created to close the achievement gap for African-American students.
