Los Angeles nursing student Triveni Ravi, 19, was recently named the winner of the Black Opal 2013 True Beauty Model search.
Selected by a prestigious panel of judges from the beauty and entertainment industry, all applicants were evaluated based on essays, community service involvement, educational aspiration and a photo of themselves representing Black Opal’s True Beauty.
A native of Perth, Australia, Ravi now calls LA her home. As the grand prize winner, she will be featured in Black Opal’s marketing materials worldwide and received an all-expense paid trip to New York City and a professional photo shoot, plus a year’s supply of Black Opal skincare and cosmetics.
Additionally scholarship awards totaling $15,500 were given to nine young women chosen by online fan voting.
