LeBron James, Serena Williams and Robin Roberts were just three of the big winners at Wednesday’s 2013 ESPYS, which celebrates the best sports stories of the year.
James took home three awards for Best Championship Performance, Best NBA Player and Best Male Athlete. This is the second time in a row James has won all three of those awards. Williams was awarded Best Female Athlete and Best Female Tennis Player.
Roberts received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, which recognizes individuals whose contributions transcend sports. Roberts became first known to many across the country as one of the first female sports anchors on ESPN in the 1990s, helping to blaze a trail for women in broadcasting.
Other winner include Candace Parker for Best WNBA Player, Floyd Mayweather for Best Fighter, and Usain Bolt for Best International Athlete.
