It looks like Superman can not just leap tall buildings but tall movie records as well, as the new “Man of Steel” earned a combined $125 million since it’s debut late last week, according to an article on FOXNews.com.

The figures reportedly give “Man of the Steel” the second biggest opening of the year, following “Iron Man 3.” The movie also reportedly took out the record for the biggest opening in June, which until now was held by “Toy Story 3” with $110 million.

Also opening this past weekend was the comedy “This Is the End,” which earned second place with $20.5 million. And third place was given to “Now You See Me” with $10.3 million.
