The National Harambee! Education Summit will take place September 19-22, 2013, in Washington DC, with the aim of “Changing the Trajectory of African American Youth.”
The Summit will feature keynote speakers such as David Johns, executive director for the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans, and Dr. Maurice Jackson, Georgetown University professor and chair of the DC Commission on African American Affairs. The event will also include professional development workshops, and special sessions on “Faith, Freedom & Public Schools.”
