Mamie Rearden, reportedly the oldest living citizen of the United States, passed away last week at the age of 114, according to an article on Newsday.com.
The South Carolina resident, who had been born on September 7, 1898, was a year younger than the world’s oldest person – 115 year-old Jiroemon Kimura of Japan.
