San Francisco has been named the top city for women entrepreneurs by NerdWallet.com.
The Bay Area city leads the top 10 cities — which also included San Diego, Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, and Washington DC — which were ranked on their entrepreneurial climates, number of women-owned businesses, economic status, and education.
San Francisco was ranked #1 due to its entrepreneurial climate, particularly in the tech industry, plus being the home of three of the nation’s most famous businesswomen — Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, and HP CEO Meg Whitman.
