Stockton native and spoken-word artist Brandon Leake won NBC’s talent competition “American’s Got Talent.”
Leake was named the season 15 champion on Wednesday. He won $1 million and will headline a Las Vegas show.
The poet beat out country singing duo Broken Roots, who took second place in the competition.
On Tuesday night, Leake performed a piece about his daughter — the love he feels, his fears of being a father and his hope for her future.
