The Citrus Heights Police Department will host a parent/teen workshop focused on the importance of traffic safety on Saturday, June 16 from 9am-12pm at the Citrus Heighs Community Center.

According to an official press release, the purpose of the event is to provide education regarding driver safety, rules of the road, distracted drive, DUI, and safety statistics. According to the Citrus Heights PD, traffic crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers across the US and both men and woman, ages 16 to 19, have the highest average annual crash and traffic violation rates of any other age group.
