The Elk Grove Youth Commission is hosting a Teen Town Hall Forum on Tuesday, October 23, to provide an opportunity for Elk Grove teens to voice their concerns and opinions about issues in the community, according to an official press release.

The forum is aimed at helping Elk Grove teens get involved in their local government while
earning community service hours. Information gathered at the meeting will help the Youth Commission determine priorities and plan future programs and projects for the current school year.  For the past five years, the Elk Grove Youth Commission has addressed a variety of  issues impacting Elk Grove teens, including cybersafety, bullying and substance abuse

Elk Grove teens and parents are invited to the Forum, which will start at 6:30pm at the City of Elk Grove Council Chambers, 8400 Laguna Palms Way, in Elk Grove.

The Youth Commission is also gathering feedback with an online survey available by clicking here.

The Youth Commission is responsible for providing recommendations and information to the City Council and public‐at‐large on behalf of the youth in Elk Grove. The goal of the Youth Commission is to promote more youth involvement in leadership, government and the
community.
