The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Office of Business Services (OBS), the Department of General Services (DGS) and regional partners are hosting a series of free Small Business Certification Workshops (SBCW) throughout California.
The next SBCW will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012, from 8am-12pm at Oakland City Hall 1 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza Oakland, CA 94612.
The SBCW is designed to serve SB/DVBE and non-profits with business development resources. The workshop will feature assistance for local suppliers to complete or renew certification. Suppliers that are currently certified are also welcome to attend to learn how to leverage your existing certification with local government agencies.
The event will include information about how to connect with state and local government opportunities. The free event will include information and updates about California’s realignment process, how to compete for service or commodity awards, information about follow on business services, and connect with exceptional bay area economic development leaders
The next SBCW is scheduled for January 23, 2013 in South Los Angeles at CSU Dominguez Hills.
