From the Facebook page of Azizza Davis Goines, President of the Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce as she states: I want to share this very meaningful message from my Cuban sister Yaneisi Ledesma. It is so beautiful.
I consider isolation having to stay home with whom I love.
Isolation is what the serious sick people are living through.
Stop saying you’re bored, upset because you can’t leave home; while everyone in the hospital wants to go home.
So thank God if you have to stay at home, for despite everything, money or without money, with a job or without work, with much or little, you are in the best place you could be, in your home, surrounded from the family!
Maybe it’s time to transform your home into a wonderful place to stay, a place of peace and not war, hug and not distancing.
Anyway, look with other eyes the situation you’re living and learn from it.
Make your house a party: Listen to music, sing, dance..
Make your house a temple: Pray, pray, meditate, ask, praise, thank.
Make your house a school: Read, write, draw, paint, study, learn, teach…
Make your house a store: Clean, order, organize, decorate, tag, move place, recycle, donate…
Make your house a restaurant: Kitchen, eat, try, create recipes, grow spices, plant an orchard…
Anyway… make your house, your family, a place of love “.
Become an instrument of peace during this time of quarantine and lent. Give love and you will receive love. Transmit peace to your surroundings.
