A new study has found that minority children are less likely to be diagnosed or treated for ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) than their white peers, according to an article on USNews.com.
According to the article, black children were about two-thirds less likely to be diagnosed as having problems with attention or hyperactivity as compared to white children, while Hispanic and Asian children were half as likely.
Additionally, if diagnosed minority children were less likely to receive treatment for ADHD when compared to white children.
