State Fair Seeking Next Young Superstar!

Preliminary Auditions This Weekend


WHAT:           The California State Fair is once again inviting the next young superstar to show off their talent by competing in the 5th Annual Kids Talent Show. The annual competition seeks to exemplify the diversity and talent of California by encouraging all kids to perform in front of an audience at the California State Fair on Kids Day.


WHEN:          Saturday, May 29, 2010

                        9 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Preliminary auditions


WHERE:        Cal Expo

                        1600 Exposition Blvd.

                        Sacramento, CA 95815


COST:           Admission to the Sacramento County Fair is FREE for Kids Talent Show participants and one parent or guardian for those who are registered in advance.  General Admission to the Fair for other talent viewers is $3 for adults aged 13-61, FREE for kids aged 0-12 and FREE for seniors over the age of 62, parking is $10.      



DETAILS:      The preliminary audition is aimed toward any California child aged 15 and younger who wants to participate. Talent should be prepared to perform a 2-minute audition piece live in front of judges. Singers and dancers preferred, though other talent is accepted as well. Top finalists from the auditions will be asked to compete live at the California State Fair on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. The top three finalists of the Kids Talent Show will share a prize pot that includes cash, prizes and the official title of “State’s Fair’s Most Talented Kid”.
