California State Fair Seeking Young Artists Youth Art & Design Expo is open for entries in 2010! The California State Fair knows that our state is home to some amazingly talented young artists. That is why the we would like to invite all of California’s young artists, ages 5 to 18, to enter their crafts and artwork in the annual Youth Art & Design Expo.
Award-winning entries will be displayed during the 2010 California State Fair which will take place from July 14 to August 1. The top winners will receive Fair tickets as well as a coveted State Fair ribbon!
ENTRY DEADLINE: Friday, April 9, 2010 The following materials must be submitted on a CD to enter: · Completed Entry Forms, available from bigfun.org on the Competitions tab · Digital Image of the Entry · $8.00 fee per entry
The Youth Art & Design Expo Program at the California State Fair is designed to recognize and exhibit outstanding Youth Art & Design projects from all over the State of California . In 2009, the competition received over 1360 entries from talented young artists and craftspeople.
The Youth Art & Design Expo Program offers four different shows to enter, each with multiple divisions. Those shows include the Youth Fine Art Show, Youth Crafts & Hobbies Show, Youth Fashion & Textile Show and Youth Media Show.
New for 2010, the State Fair is pleased to announce two Special Contests! “Scrap That!”, an adventure themed scrapbooking contest where winners will receive awards and special gifts donated by Stampers Corner of Elk Grove, Calif. And the “Urban Bird” contest is sponsored by CHEVRON with $1,800 in cash prizes!
