Some new reports on the state of unemployment in the United States and California have recently been released.

The first comes from an article on today, April 6, which says the jobs report released by the US Labor Department today shows that hiring slowed in March, although there was a slight decline in unemployment levels, with the overall unemployment rate now at 8.2 percent.

The article also says that African-American unemployment rate was 14.0 percent, from 14.1 percent in February.
