Spurred by an article in the Chicago Tribune, SFWeekly.com asked the question why are there so few black chefs in high-end restaurants in the Bay Area and looked to find an answer. Through interviews with black chefs, they found problems included lack of mentors and not enough exposure to the culture of high-end restaurants.
