The definite OMG moments of the BET Awards were “Real Husbands of Hollywood” … these scenes were so hilariously funny. Whoever was the clever person who came up with this script, certainly SURPRISED us – it’s acts like this one that make the BET Awards the best and over-the-top Music Awards on T.V.
Cee-low was such a crack-up with his hairspray and costume routine in his tribute to the music great, Patty Labelle as she received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
And, who could not be pleased when the beautiful Braxton sisters came out with their angelic tones and wooed the audience with their melodic voices.
I still was looking for the “WOW” performance of the evening. There was none in this year’s Award show that I could see. Although, I did like Kelly Rowland’s performance and it was
quite entertaining. Kelly has really improved and matured in her dance presentation and performances.
“KEVIN HART” was an outstanding choice of host as he totally carried the show with his jokes and his way too funny “NO-MAN” wise cracks.
Ohhhhh and I can’t forget the 1920’s scene with Jill Scott and Idris Alba … very sexy and well done.
I really enjoyed listening to Steve Harvey’s acceptance speech…totally humble and he loves the Lord!!!
I totally loved the Gospel performances with Donnie McClurkin, Mary Mary, and Dietrick Haddon … we felt the Holy Spirit in the house!!!
Can’t forget the opening act of Mary J who always does a great job and she was looking good in her white, “I wanna’ be and look like Mary J in white”
Now Chris Brown’s intro was a bit confusing with his weird suit outfit, but later in his act, we loved his dancing. I love to watch Chris Brown dance (Chris, MC Hammer, Usher, Bobby Brown, and of course the late “King of Pop” Michael Jackson got all the soul and hippest moves to make us wanna get up and start groovin’)
Did anyone watch the post-show with Tigga and Free? Why does Tigga have to always scream/holler when he speaks into the microphone? And, our beautiful girl “FREE” put on about 10 pounds but she stills look good. And, Tocarra looked really good!!!
