Big Sean is donating big to help Flint, Michigan.

The Detroit-bred rapper has donated $10,000 to relief efforts in Flint, which had been receiving lead-poisoned water after switching their water source as a cost-cutting measure. Since the problems with the water have come to light a state of emergency has been declared in the city.

Big Sean is also encouraging others to donate, partnering with CrowdRise. He explains on the campaign’s page:

He tweeted about the issue as well, asking for an explanation of the crisis from Michigan Governor Rick Snyder.
