Calling all cooks – the deadline for participating in cooking competitions at this year’s California State Fair is this Friday, June 1!

This year’s cooking competitions include:

  • Home Canning, Jams & Jellies (Judging: July 12)
  • Home Canning, Soft Spreads, Fruit, Tomatoes and Pickles (Judging: July 15)
  • Baked Goods, Cookies & Confections (Judging: July 19)
  • Baked Goods, Bread, Cake, Pie, and Pastry (Judging: July 25)
  • Guittard’s Chocolate Passion Contest (Specialty contest, recipe required; Judging: July 21)
  • King Arthur Flour Big Adventure Cake Contest (Specialty contest, recipe required;Judging: July 26)
