Call for African drummers, dancers, poets & spoken word artists – Youth and Adults
In celebration of Kwanzaa we are seeking dancers, drummers, poets and spoken artists for Friday, December 27, 2013 from 5:30pm-8:00pm for our 13th Annual Kwanzaa Celebration, hosted by The Sacramento Area Black Caucus, The Brickhouse Art Gallery and the Black United Fund of Sacramento.
The Kwanzaa program will feature drumming and poetry. This year’s principle is “Kujichagulia –Self-Determination.” We would like the poetry and spoken word presentations to be thought-provoking, family friendly and speak to the issue of “Self-Determination.”
