Earth Day is this Sunday, April 22, and there are tons of celebrations and projects in and around the Sacramento area this weekend to help you get involved!

Here’s a look at just a few:

Sacramento Earth Day Celebration
The 6th Annual Earth Day Celebration will take place on Sunday, April 22 from 11am-5pm at Southside Park in Sacramento. The event will feature diverse business, nonprofit, cultural and governmental vendors with practical information, goods and services for saving money, living healthier, and protecting the environment. Global Youth Service Day – Midtown Clean Up
Celebrate Earth Day by giving back to Mother Nature and be a part of the largest service event in the world – Global Youth Service Day (GYSD). GYSD is an annual campaign celebrating and mobilizing the millions of children and youth who improve their communities each day of the year through service and service-learning. GYSD is the largest and longest-running service event in the world, and the only day of service dedicated to children and youth. GYSD is celebrated each year in over 100 countries. Earth Day Cigarette Butt Clean-Up
Celebrate Earth Day by helping SOL (Saving Our Legacy) during their cigarette butt clean-up on Sunday, April 22 from 2-5pm at the Meadowview Lightrail Station at 8785 Center Parkway in Sacramento. Celebrate the Earth Festival
Celebrate Earth Day in Roseville on Saturday, April 21 at the Roseville Utility Exploration Center in Mahany Regional Park. The event will include a variety of family-style entertainment, including live animal shows, music, juggling, food and much more. Click here for more information.
