A sprawling home in Granite Bay once owned by actor and comedian Eddie Murphy is up for sale, with the 12,600-square-foot home virtually unchanged from when it was sold six years ago.
The current owner, real estate investor Patrick Willis, bought it in late 2007 for $6.1 million, according to Zillow, when Murphy sold it after a divorce, said Nick Sadek, a co-broker for the property with NRD Luxury Estates in Granite Bay.

“He preserved it, kept the maintenance up, but never moved in,” Sadek said, adding Willis did allow the home in the Los Lagos subdivision to host charitable events in recent years. The home’s furnishings, which were included when Willis bought it, also have been maintained and are part of the sale, with a listing price of $12 million.
Sadek said Willis chose to sell while he’s in the midst of estate planning and looking at investment opportunities elsewhere. The home, which includes a 5,200-square-foot guest house, went on the market Friday.
