“Fruitvale Station” opened in only seven theaters this weekend with a per-screen average of $53,898, giving it the third best average of number of tickets sold per screening for the year so far, according to an article on BET.com.
The movie reportedly grossed $377,285 for the seven theaters, and has received “glowing marks” from critics. Next week, “Fruitvale Station” reportedy expands to more movie screens.
