On Friday, June 28, the California State Fair welcomes Univision 19 and BloodSource for the 2013 “Dia de Donar Sangre” Blood Drive at Cal Expo — an opportunity for the community to help save lives and receive a free admission ticket to the State Fair.

The event kicks off at 6am, allowing busy commuters plenty of time to stop by on their way to work. The blood drive will continue until 7pm at the Cal Expo East Gate Grandstands. Parking is free for all participants.

Donors will receive a free ticket to the California State Fair valued at $12, along wiht a Univision 19/BloodSource T-shirt. They’ll also be treated to lively music and snacks. “Be the Match” bone marrow registraiton will be available during the blood drive, giving participants another way to save lives.

Donors must weight at least 110 pounds, be at least 17 years old and be generally healthy. Donors must bring a photo ID and should drink plenty of fluids before donating.
