Brooklyn Nets player Jason Collins has landed a cover with TIME Magazine. He is featured in the 100 Most Influential People list as a pioneer and champion for the LGBT community.

After the 2012–13 NBA season concluded, Collins publicly came out as gay. He became a free agent and did not play again until February 23, 2014, when he signed with the Nets and became the first publicly gay athlete to play in the NBA.
TIME also recognized Pharrell Williams, Beyoncé, Serena Williams, Kerry Washington, and…well, 95 others!  The issue hits newsstands Friday, April 25.
