Mariah Carey’s upcoming album, with a title that’s almost too long to type (Me…I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse) is streaming on iTunes Radio, a week prior to it’s scheduled May 27 release date.
USA TODAY gives it 3.5 stars out of four, calling the album a “return to form” for the singer, who’s struggled to remain relevant in a musical world where her peers are less then half her age.
On first listen, I’m just glad the voice is still intact. Unlike some of her critics, I like Mariah’s miraculous upper register, and she can’t use it enough for me. I’ll post a full review here soon, but for now, read this: http://usat.ly/1gLe8sQ
