Rhonda Lee, a meteorologist at ABC’s Shreveport, Louisiana affiliate KTBS was reportedly fired last month for defending comments viewers made online regarding her hair, according to an article on MSNBC.com.
According to the article, Lee reportedly responded to two viewers’ Facebook comments, once regarding her hair and another reportedly about a viewer complaining all the children participating in the station’s annual Christmas shopping spree were African-American.
In its defense, the station released an official comment saying Lee was let go for “repeated violation of the station’s written procedure.”
