Today, Monday, July 9, Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson will hold a press conference to discuss plans to explore the viability of bringing Major League Baseball (MLB) to Sacramento, according to a press release issued by the Mayor’s Office.
The announcement reportedly follows news from last week that Think BIG – the regional initiative launched in 2011 by Mayor Johnson to promote job creation, economic growth, cultural development and civic pride across the greater Sacramento metropolitan area – will devote the next six months to evaluating a range of strategies to accelerate job creation and economic development in the region.
