Recent news coming out of the White House includes the nomination of Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx as Secretary of Transportation by President Barack Obama, and the White House expanding its social media outlets through Tumblr and Vine.
According to an article on EURWeb.com, Obama has announced the nomination of Foxx on Monday, April 30. Foxx has been the mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina since 2009 and has reportedly helped the city improve since taking office.

And in an effort to increase it’s social media reach, the White House has started both Tumblr and Vine accounts, according to an article on TheRoot.com.
The White House’s Tumblr will reportedly show “things going around the White House that we just had to share with you.” And Vine is all about videos — currently up there are videos from the White House Science Fair.
