The African-American unemployment rate dropped one point from 14 percent to 13 percent in April, according to an article on BET.com.
The article added the US Labor Department’s job report also said the national unemployment rate declined from 8.2 to 8.1 percent, and weekly unemployment benefit applications decreased by 27,000, implying fewer layoffs and new hirings.
