According to Sacramento Business Journal, the number jobs in the six-county Sacramento region grew 2.6 percent in July from the previous year — the first time since 2006 the capital region posted annual job growth greater than 2 percent, according to Ryan Sharp of the Center for Strategic Economic Research and the Business Journal.

Also, according to Biz Journal, The Fresh Market Inc., a specialty grocery chain that is entering the Sacramento market, is ready to hire. The North Carolina-based chain will hold a career open house on September 5 and 6 as the company prepares to open a store in Roseville.
