Today, Downtown Commons (DOCO), the Sacramento Kings, WeWork and JMA Ventures announced WeWork’s second location in Sacramento and the start of an exciting new partnership.

WeWork’s newest Sacramento location will span approximately 96,300+ RSF across the top three floors at 660 J Street (near the corner of 7th and J Streets) and will complement WeWork’s first Sacramento location at 400 Capitol Mall. The space will offer beautifully designed workspaces, hot desks, bookable conference rooms, and common areas designed for flexibility, collaboration, and connection, helping entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes grow and thrive in Sacramento.

The lease signing includes an exclusive partnership with the Sacramento Kings, where WeWork will provide a year of fully-sponsored workspace for the future winner of the Sacramento Kings’ annual Capitalize contest, Capitalize is an NBA crowdsourced startup pitch contest showcasing local entrepreneurs from all industries, with the Sacramento Kings as the first team to implement the program in the United States. The two-round tournament provides the best and brightest innovators in the community with the opportunity to compete on a global stage, where they’ll pitch to local investors and technology executives and vie for a cash prize and WeWork space. With access to the NBA’s robust community and WeWork’s global platform, this partnership will not only provide local talent with the boost they need to grow, but will also provide a strong support system, a powerful network, a wealth of resources to succeed in the long-term.
