A statue of Jackie Robinson in Coney Island, New York, was recently found defaced with racial slurs and graffiti, according to an article on NewsOne.com.
Staff at the MCU Park where the statue is located were able to remove some of the graffiti, but were unable to remove all of it and for now has been covered up. Area police are reportedly treating the incident as a hate crime.
