Tyson, 51, will serve in the No. 2 position at the organization and will continue to report to George Halvorson, chairman and chief executive officer of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals.
“Bernard has functioned as the chief operating officer of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc.’s regions for the past four years,” Halvorson said in a statement. “He has been a solid and successful leader.”
